Tenant packs

The simulator stays one small file by coming with one kind of tenant built in: a building. Other kinds come as small packs.

The building is built in. Other kinds arrive as packs, the first time you choose them.

What a pack is

A pack holds everything the simulator needs for one more kind of tenant: its pictures, its layout and its sensors. There is one pack for each kind, such as a workshop, a warehouse, a ship or a truck.

The building is built in

The building needs no pack. It is part of the simulator, so it works straight away, and it works without internet.

Adding another kind

Press New tenant in the simulator and choose the kind you want.
If it is not on your computer yet, the simulator gets its pack from this site by itself.
When the pack has arrived, your new tenant is created.

This needs internet once, for each kind.

It is kept afterwards

The simulator keeps the pack for later. The next time you choose that kind, nothing needs to be downloaded, and it works without internet.

With no internet

If you are offline when you choose a kind that is not on your computer yet, the simulator cannot get its pack, so that kind is not available until you are online once. The building keeps working as normal.
