Creating a tenant
The simulator makes a pretend tenant on your own computer. A tenant is whatever is being monitored: a building, a workshop, a warehouse, a ship, a truck.
New tenant
Press New tenant and choose what kind it is:
- Fixed: a building, a workshop, a warehouse and the like.
- Fleet: a ship, a truck and the like.
You can also choose how big it is: Small, Medium or Large.
A building is built into the simulator and is always ready. The other kinds come as small packs, which the simulator gets the first time you choose them. See Tenant packs.
What you get
The simulator generates a layout that matches the kind you chose:
- A building has floors and rooms.
- A workshop has sheds, lines and machines.
- A ship has decks and compartments.
- A truck has sections.
Control cabinets are placed in it, and each cabinet has its sensors. The documentation uses a building as its example, but everything works the same way for the other kinds.
Every tenant is different
Every new tenant is different from the last. You can make another whenever you want a fresh one to practise on, so there is no way to learn one by heart.
Why a pretend tenant?
Real equipment is not always at hand when you are learning. A pretend tenant lets you try the whole job of
Bhairava Sense, from finding equipment to naming and placing it, without touching anything real.
