Trying it with Bhairava Sense, step by step

This is the whole exercise, from the first button to the final check. You do the same things you would do on a real site.

Five steps: start the simulator, discover sensors, add floors and rooms, drag controllers onto rooms, then test and compare with the answer key1 Start the simulator2 Discover sensors3 Add branches, then match cabinets4 Drag each controller onto its room5 Test, cause a fault, check the answer key
The exercise in five steps.
  1. Start the simulator. Double-click it, then press New tenant and choose what kind it is.
  2. Discover the sensors. In Bhairava Sense, press Discover sensors (stage 1, Sensor Discovery). The cabinets appear on the tree as just found, with no names and no places.
  3. Move through the tenant. In the simulator, pick a part, then a place, such as a floor and then a room. In Bhairava Sense, add branches for the parts and places you see, and name them.
  4. Work out which cabinet is which. Use Help me find it to match each found controller to a cabinet. There are four ways, described in Finding the right cabinet.
  5. Place each controller. Drag each controller onto its room (stage 2, Sensor Fusion).
  6. Test. Test the sensors and the controllers.
  7. Cause a fault. In the simulator, switch a cabinet off or break a sensor. In Bhairava Sense, watch the tree turn red and tell you where to go.
  8. Check yourself. Reveal the answer key and compare it with your tree.

Keep the simulator and Bhairava Sense on the same computer, or on the same network. See Troubleshooting if nothing is discovered.
